The Dance Party !!!

A special New Year has seeped in with the “Dance Party”. The mood was set in by DJ Minkinz (by the way that’s me ). The equipment was my Vaio lappy with additional speakers. The venue: my upstairs room. The party people, err party person was good old me (who else would say my DJ ing was good?) 
The upstairs bedroom is my “Me” bedroom; which I chose to fry myself in solitude. Its 100% sound proof. My solitude can be quite noisy at times.
I seriously had a great time; better than I ever had. I have discovered the joys of throwing a dance party at home to yourself; or on a more romantic occasion your partner (if & only if the partner can guarantee to dance without squishing your toes to pulp). The major pointers:
 
  • Don’t have to break our heads  in deciding what to wear. Can wear anything. No one is gonna ogle or  stare.
  • Ample floor space for even the craziest of dance session.
  • Preservation of personal space (told you am obsessed with it).
  • No smoke; no smokers.
  • No booze; no drunks.
  • No risk of feeling intoxicated by the collective smoke & smell of booze let out by the overcrowding fellow dancers.
  • No one trying to hit on you while all you wanna have is a crazy dancing time.
  • NO knocked – off – from- senses friends trying to force or coax you into drinking ("just a sip, please") or smoking ("Hey once. For me").
  • No “scenes” to get distracted.
  • No wicked looking bouncers.
  • Absolutely no waiting for your favorite dance numbers.
  • No inhibitions whatsoever.
These are just the major pointers, scores of minor ones exist. Hope everyone had a nice time at the start of the New Year – in a gang or all by yourself. Have fun throughout 2010!!!

    Cool post, Minkinz. ;-)
    Seems like you had a lot of fun. Well, I could relate to this post. I didn't dance though, but read Sherlock Holmes in the middle of the night. :P It was damn fun!
    Anyways, Happy New Year once again! Have a wonderful year ahead. :-)

    Seems like a great idea to me! No one to bother about the noise, and I can do all my dance routines without having to worry about anyone else!
    I might try that myself! It's so cold here that I'll jump around and sing into my hair-brush to my hearts content!

    *those party lights can be very tricky you see. cant see the face..

    Wow I didnt know there was such a good writer sitting in our front door cabin.. That was neat. And certainly inspiring :-). But why wait for new year? Do it everyday! Celebrate life.

    @Karthick : yeah..reading book fro new year has been exactly what I have been doing for the past 3 years, so wanted a difference, so the dance. But yeah did enjoy it too..:) same to you!

    @Blunt : yea, i don't booze, so none . hope u got all the booze at your New Year party :)
    @Sorcerer: Do people do that? If someone does, I can bet it would be Mallus(guys) only (the extra inquisitive lot).Yeah a one time experience was as good as an extensive research. huh!
    @Cris: deeeeaaar dear Creetha, Melcowe to Banter Battery!! dushte..just because my cabin was near the front door, you call it front door cabin.Hmm.. thank God,u r not here now.I have shifted from that cabin to the cabin near the library (almost near our Ladies Loo). If you had known it you would have said bathroom cabin.. Rekshapettu..
    Lemme tell you why wait for New Year.. ennum cheythal njan ultra slim aayi pokum.athu ente imageinu cherilla.;)..I celebrate life with icecream. bu ha ha ha..

    @buckingfastard : I never knew any girl who admired a bouncer. Girls are smart you know ;)
    Oops, I thought I had edited that part. Thanks to your comment now I have tat edited. Hey don't go shouting that around; other girls are gonna kill me......... :(
